Fun in Fort Worth!

So I promised to post about my trip to Fort Worth a few weeks ago. It really was great. We started with a trip to Central Market, where I bought the best dark chocolate covered almonds! Yum! We also took a trip to World Market, Williams & Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, and several Half Price Bookstores. Luckily I was flying and couldn't buy too much. I only spent $2 in WS!!! That is such a record! I bought some really fancy rapid rise yeast, and it was a huge container of it! I could live in Williams & Sonoma!

The main reason behind the visit, besides a great girls weekend before one of us flits off to London for 3 years, was to go to the Kimbell Art Museum. The new exhibit "Impressionists: Master Paints from the Art Institute of Chicago. It was amazing!

The exhibit was really big and the museum provided an audio tour as you toured at your own pace. The best part was the last painting before the exit was a series of three of Monet's waterlilies. It was so amazing.

Here are a few of the paintings we saw!
Paris Street; Rainy Day, Gustave Caillebotte (French, 1848–1894)

Yellow Dancers (In the Wings), Edgar Degas (French, 1834–1917)

Woman at Her Toilette, Berthe Morisot (French, 1841–1895)

Along with the shopping and the art was the amazing food! We ate some amazing food. We had lunch at a Greek Cafe in Plano called Zorbas. Words cannot express my immense love for this new restaurant. For starters you must be a descendant of a Greek God to work here. Secondly, baklava cheesecake! Enough said!
We also ate a metric ton of Mexican food since it is not to be found in Oklahoma.
